2023 Ford Rattler Is Based On F-150 XL Model

In 2022, the four-wheel-drive F-150 XL model, with a starting price of $39,200, will serve as the basis for the Rattler. Several of the features found in the FX4 package are included, including an electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, and off-road-tuned shock absorbers.

Also, the Rattler is equipped with all-terrain tires, and the fuel tank, transfer case, and front differential are all protected by skid plates. Similar to the $1005 FX4 option, getting the Rattler requires choosing one of the optional engines—either the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6, 5.0-liter V-8, or twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6—and a more expensive equipment package.

The Rattler will only be available as a SuperCab or SuperCrew.

The Rattler is distinguishable visually by painted 18-inch aluminum wheels and dual exhaust tips that Ford claims generate “a powerful sound.” On the side of the bed, there is a Rattler pattern that resembles snakeskin, as well as a Rattler badge on the fenders.

Bronze stitching and embellishments may be seen inside. Ford hasn’t disclosed price, but we anticipate that when it launches this fall for the 2023 model year, the Rattler will be a little less expensive than the FX4 package.
